I was keeping my travelogue mainly for friends and family, but it seems more people are following along, including, apparently, people I don't know. I'm curious who all is reading this, so if you wouldn't mind, would you please check the "read it" box below so I can get a rough idea of how big my audience is? I read your blog for the technical content, but I don't have any problem with bloggers writing about whatever they want to write about. If I thought you would only be writing travelogue entries from now on, I'd probably unsubscribe. But I assume you will have to go home at some point. So I jut scan over them.

I began following your blog for the political and philosophical content (where we sometimes agree and sometimes don't, but it's seldom a waste of time). Since I come from a technical background myself I enjoy your technical posts too, and since I love traveling, I'm really enjoying the travelogue. And I have read your simulated dialogues, and your reports from the California fires.
ReplyDeleteI find the variety refreshing, but I guess I can read all of that just because you don't write that often.
I don't have a problem with some blogs being extremely focused, and others extremely disperse. But I think if I were to choose, I would choose the latter. People have many dimension. And I enjoy knowing more about the people I read online, because that enables me to better interpret what they're writing.
